Aim:

This course aims to provide practitioners with essential knowledge on valid consent and the application of the

Mental Capacity Act (MCA) in dietetic practice.

  • Consider how this applies to dietary-related risks
  • To understand when and how to complete a capacity assessment relating to dietary interventions
  • To understand how to respond to the outcome of a capacity assessment relating to dietary interventions and who to communicate this with.
